Got 37 minutes tai chi and 17 of Alexander Technique this morning.
I was short on time and cut the standing first. I have been saying I did not understand it, but now I think I do. I believe it is like the Professor not getting beyond lift hands for the first ten months studying tai chi, many years before Yang Cheng Fu. I think it was intended as a simple strengthening exercise for weak students before they pursue the more arduous form.
The Alexander Technique laydown and crawl were much longer because I was using negative directions such as, “I am not tightening my neck,” and especially, “I’m not falling asleep.” It allowed me to get some good time in and be much more deliberate in my crawling. Good stuff!
